Join the movement to beat bowel cancer
However you choose to fundraise, you’ll help save lives and change the future for Kiwis living with bowel cancer.
Bowel Cancer is one of the most common cancers in New Zealand.
You can help change that
- 3 people will die from bowel cancer.
- 9 people will be diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Bowel Cancer is more than 90% curable when found early.
Yet, too many people are still diagnosed late, miss the signs, or face the journey without the support the need.
Every dollar raised helps create a future where more kiwis recognise the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, access the support they need, and have the best possible chance of earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.
Be part of the movement changing the state of bowel cancer in New Zealand.

Shani's 100km for Bowel Cancer New Zealand
When Shani’s dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2024, everything changed. Thankfully, his cancer was found early – but the experience made Shani determined to do something big to raise awareness and support others going through the same journey.
Shani isn’t new to tough challenges – she’s walked 60 km, done thousands of burpees, and even ridden an assault bike for 24 hours - all in the name of fundraising. But this time, she wanted to go bigger. Inspired by Bowel Cancer NZ’s “Move Your Butt” campaign, she set herself the goal of running 100km in just one day.
“My dad has always taught us through his actions, and motivated me by setting big goals, working hard and achieving them. This run was for him. And for my family and every other family who has been affected by bowel cancer.”
Shani smashed her challenge, raising over $4,000 and inspiring others along the way. “Immediately after, I felt so much pride and gratitude".
